BERNIE ROELS

Selected to participate in the most exciting challenge of his life!

Last Year Bernie appeared on the Rachael Ray Show

Bernie Roels (16) of Cary, NC was selected to participate in the most exciting challenge of his life by the producers of the Racheal Ray Show.  Bernie,  along with a group of aspiring teenage chefs from around the country, they were given the opportunity to open their own restaurant, design the menu and prepare a full dinner service for an exclusive group of patrons, including President Bill Clinton.

"We came up with the idea of opening a special pop-up restaurant so that we could provide a group of cooks and our viewers at home a glimpse into what it's like to run a kitchen," said Ray. "We are also so excited that Yum-o!'s longstanding partner, President Bill Clinton and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, will be on hand to take part in what we hope becomes an annual event."

This group of young cooks from around the country were flown to New York City where they worked to transform Barbuto Restaurant into Cafe Una Notte (or Cafe One Night).

Bernie with Rachael Ray & the other teen chefs appeared on Good Morning America.
